Fall 2025 Newsletter Update

I am writing to do a quick overview of our feeding program at Eagle School in Jacmel, Haiti through Living Water Children’s Fund.

First and foremost, I would like to thank our donors for your monthly donation to our feeding program. We have 164 students from kindergarten through 9th grade as of now for the academic year 2025-2026.

At Eagle School Haiti, our priority is providing a supportive environment where students can thrive—access to nutritious food is the key to their academic success and well-being.

Every morning, students like Antara, 9th grade, walk to school on an empty stomach. Hunger pangs make it nearly impossible for her to focus in class. Malnutrition stands in the way of her education, robbing her of the energy and clarity she needs to succeed.

For many families in our community, every meal is a struggle; parents are often forced to choose between buying food and paying for other necessities. Our feeding program provides a nutritious, hot meal to every child at our school three times a week—for most of the students, this is the only meal they’ll have for the whole day. This simple provision gives our students the fuel they need to thrive.

The meals consist of pastries, fresh fruits, milk, cornmeal, rice and beans, and local ingredients whenever possible to promote good eating habits and support our community. Since the program’s beginning, we have seen a dramatic increase in student attendance and engagement in the classroom. Teachers report that students are more attentive, more focused, and showing marked improvement in their grades.

Filling bellies nurtures minds. By addressing malnutrition, we are helping to safeguard our students against the many lifelong impacts of poverty and poor health.

Every child deserves a chance ❤️

Thanks to generous donations Living Water Children’s Fund has been able to help the children of Eagle School receive the support and care they need.
