My name is Edelqueen Bahati Kayaza. I was raised in the ghetto, and I am proudly a ghetto girl—unapologetically. Mukuru is where I come from, and it is from this very ghetto that I intend to rise to greatness. My dream is to become a freelance journalist, telling powerful stories through the lens. I want to capture moments and share the real stories of Africa with the world, using nothing more than knowledge, a pen, paper, and a camera—which is why my focus is in journalism.
