Â
Ruhena Begum is a visionary philanthropist, humanitarian, and Director of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at ZOTUS Group / ZOTUS Smart City. She leads life-changing community initiatives across Africa, from women’s empowerment and youth development to education, sustainability, and the creation of safe, joyful spaces for children.
Â
Her purpose-driven journey has taken her across the world, from the United Kingdom to Ghana, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Egypt, Philippines, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Tabora, Arusha, and Mwanza, where she has dedicated her time, heart, and resources to transforming the lives of underprivileged children.
Â
In partnership with Living Water Children’s Fund, Ruhena embarked on a life-changing humanitarian mission across East Africa. She visited schools for children who are blind, deaf, or living with disabilities, met children with sickle cell disease and albinism, and witnessed their extraordinary courage and resilience.
Through her compassion and leadership, she helped sponsor children’s education, provided a washing machine, clothing, food, playground sports facilities, and supported the supply of mattresses, sanitary products, and access to medical care.
Â
Her unwavering belief is that every child deserves to dream, to learn, and to be loved. Ruhena continues to build hope and dignity for children and the elderly through initiatives like Adopt-a-Grandparent Botswana, Rich Kid, Poor Kid (financial literacy for children), and numerous empowerment projects across Africa.
Â
Ruhena’s work is more than philanthropy, it is a calling of the heart. Guided by faith and compassion, she believes that one act of kindness can ripple across generations, turning despair into hope and challenges into change.
