Donor Update: New Classroom at Eagle School in Jacmel, Haiti
In impoverished neighborhoods, oftentimes rooms in schools, like homes, are constructed one room at a time, as funds become available. Eagle School, a school in the Haitian coastal town of Jacmel, which is supported in part by Living Water Children’s Fund, does just this, adding one new room to the school every year, which helps to increase the number of students the school can educate. This June, Living Water Children’s Fund made a donation for the construction of its first third grade classroom, which will allow those coming out of second grade to receive an additional year of education at Eagle School. We recently received a note of thanks from the school principal, Fanel Leme, along with photographs to update us and our donors on the progress of the construction of this classroom. We would like to, in turn, thank all the donors to our Haiti Initiative that helped to make this project a reality!
Dear Board members of Living Water Children Fund,
On behalf of Eagle School Haiti, I would like to thank you for the donation of June 2019 to build one more classroom. Since the school is growing up and the need keeps increasing. We build one room each summer. Your continuing support always helps making a difference in the lives of many needy kids here in Haiti. Many poor kids are moving toward a bright future thanks to donors like you. This year we are serving 149 children. Those include needy, orphans and abandoned children. We have [also] implemented a feeding program where we provide a sandwich to every student three times a week.
