A Message from our Director
A hundred years from now it will not matter what was in my bank account, the sort of house I lived in, Or the kind of car I drove, But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.
December 2024
To Our Generous Donors,
In a time when the future remains unknown and precarious for so many, we are grateful for our generous donors and resilient children who offer a ray of sunshine in an often dark sky.
We are now active in six countries: Ukraine, Guatemala, Haiti, Kenya, Myanmar, Tanzania, and soon, India. We are building schools, gardens, science and computer labs and providing educational sponsorships, emergency medical care, school supplies, and basic support for food and lodging for children in destitute situations. We follow up with each project to ensure your donations are directly touching the lives of children in need.
I am pleased to welcome Arsha Khan, former board member, as the new Associate Director of LWCF. Arsha has spent the past few years working with several non-profits and comes with a wealth of information, passion and motivation. LWCF is fortunate to have Arsha in this new position and joins nine other board members, each dedicated to the goal of supporting orphans and other children in need.
From Arsha:
"I am truly honored to serve as the Associate Director of Living Water Children's Fund with my years of experience in the humanitarian sector. As I step into this role, I am focused on enhancing our programs and expanding our outreach efforts. I am inspired daily by the resilience of the children we serve and the dedication of supporters like you, truly cultivating a family. Together, we are not just changing lives; we are creating futures filled with promise. Our success stories are more than just a number - simply a family that keeps expanding"
We are thrilled and proud of our newest group of volunteers, LWCF Youth Leadership Team, Overland Humanitarians, Peace Corps Volunteers, and students from Lyons and Eastside High School in NYC—young compassionate students motivated to support children in need. Involving the younger generation is critical to continue the work we have begun and we are grateful for their enthusiasm, determination, and commitment to our mutual goals.
We want to thank you, our donors, for helping us to spread a message of generosity, empathy, resilience, hope, and of course, love. These are the protections we must maintain to combat any form of hate, greed, or discrimination. Our combined efforts provide the strength required to move forward and overcome challenges in these troubled times.
“A hundred years from now it will not matter what was in my bank account, the sort of house I lived in, Or the kind of car I drove, But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”
